Composition, targets and analytical record

The structural record for the material as supplied, and the analytical figures returned for the lot on the certificate.

Glow is not a single molecular entity but a preparation combining three separately defined compounds, and it therefore has no molecular formula, molecular mass, sequence or residue count of its own; those fields are empty by necessity rather than omission. The three constituents are characterised individually in their own records.

The first is GHK-Cu, a copper(II) coordination complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, catalogued under PubChem CID 133697840 with the composition C₂₈H₄₈CuN₁₂O₈ at 744.31 Da average mass. It is the only constituent containing a metal centre and the only one that is coloured, carrying a visible absorption band near 600 to 640 nm. The second is BPC-157, an unmodified 15-residue peptide of composition C₆₂H₉₈N₁₆O₂₂ at 1419.56 Da average mass, catalogued under PubChem CID 9941957. The third is TB-500, an N-acetylated seven-residue peptide of composition C₃₈H₆₈N₁₀O₁₄ at 889.02 Da average mass, catalogued under PubChem CID 62707662.

The three are well separated analytically. Their average masses of 744, 1420 and 889 Da are mutually resolved by mass spectrometry with no overlap, and none of the three shares a molecular formula or a sequence with either of the others. None of the three contains tryptophan, tyrosine or phenylalanine, so none carries a 280 nm chromophore and reversed-phase detection across the mixture is performed at 214 nm; the copper complex is additionally visible in the 600 to 640 nm region, which distinguishes it from the two metal-free peptides without recourse to mass spectrometry. Composition of a preparation of this kind is established by resolving all three components chromatographically and assaying each against its own reference, with copper determined separately by elemental analysis. None of the three constituents carries a target entry in UniProt or in ChEMBL.

The lot supplied for Glow was assayed by ACS Peptide Testing Labs on 2026-07-28 under accession AAHW062. Purity is reported as 88.78% by LCMS-UV, expressed as the percentage of total UV peak area attributable to the target compound. Identity is a separate determination and was returned as: Confirmed (LCMS-UV mass ID). A sample can be highly pure and still be the wrong molecule, which is why both results appear on the certificate.

The material was recorded as Purple powder. The sequence corresponds to a molecular formula of 10mg BPC-157 · 10mg TB-500 · 50mg GHK-Cu and a calculated mass of Blend.

Endotoxin was outside the scope of this assay and is reported as N/A. Peak-area percentage is also not the same as absolute mass purity: material that does not absorb at the detection wavelength is not represented in the figure.
